UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS
BS Marine Biology
Freshmen
Students seeking admission to the degree course must take and pass the System Admission and Scholarship Examination (SASE). The University System administers the SASE once a year, during the first semester, for graduating Senior High School students who intend to enroll in the University the succeeding year.
MSU Naawan adopts certain cut-off scores in the SASE for admission during the academic year. Please contact the department for more information.
Internal Transferees
“Internal transferees” refers to MSU Naawan students leaving one program to another program.
The Dean must duly approve such transfer with the recommendation of the Department Chairman concerned, provided, that he/she meets the entry requirements to the program.
A student from a degree program may be admitted to the technology program if he/she has incurred not more than 50% failing grades in all subjects previously enrolled. No student previously dismissed from the program, due to scholastic deficiency, shall be allowed to transfer to another program.

BS Information Technology
A graduate of K-12 under the STEM track. However, graduates from other tracks may still be admitted subject to an appropriate bridging program designed by the University.
SASE Cut-off Score for Incoming Freshmen
The SASE cut-off score for incoming freshmen is set by the Department.
Other documentary requirements may be prescribed by the Admission and Registrar Offices.
Transferees from Within and Other MSU Campuses
Transferees shall apply for admission in the IT Department.
The transferee must have a GPA of 2.75 or better.
Retention Policies: As provided for in the MSU Code of Governance.
Fees and Other Payments: These shall be based on approved BOR implementing guidelines and schedule of fees.
Usage of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS): The use and adoption of FOSS will have to be emphasized in the implementation of the curriculum as an alternative to proprietary software solutions.

Master of Science in Marine Biology
Doctor of Philosophy in Marine Biology
Financial aid for graduate studies is also available through scholarships, grants, and campus-based employment.
